Behind the test
About Death Note Test
Death Note Test is an independently maintained, fan-made personality quiz built for people who enjoy the series and the moral questions behind its characters.
An Independent Fan Project
This site is maintained as an independent web project. Its questions, scoring logic, design, and result pages are created and refined specifically for this experience. The goal is to offer a thoughtful, accessible quiz rather than an official character assessment.
Why We Built It
Death Note raises lasting questions about justice, power, loyalty, logic, and ambition. We created this test to let fans explore those ideas through everyday choices and then see which character perspective most closely resembles their answers.
How the Test Works
Fifteen scenario-based questions measure five dimensions: justice, logic, cruelty, social orientation, and ambition. Each answer contributes to a trait profile and a character archetype. The completed profile is compared with five character profiles to select the closest overall match.
How We Improve It
We test the full quiz flow, review anonymized aggregate usage patterns, and use reader feedback to improve question clarity, result balance, accessibility, speed, and translations. Changes are evaluated for the whole experience, not simply for more clicks.
Independent and Unofficial
Death Note Test is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the creators, publishers, studios, or rights holders of Death Note.
